More about this...

  1. Iron-on are transfers are more expensive.

  2. Transfer images from iron-on are not consistent in quality and are difficult to match.

  3. Iron on fabrics may not be applied to all fabrics – they work OK on knits but do not work on woven fabric.

  4. Iron-on transfers alter the 'hand' of the fabric, the fabric often feels rigid, or plastic-like.

  5. Iron-on images lose color quickly when washed.

  6. Iron-on transfers are difficult to handle when applying – the fabric is easily stretched which distorts the image if it is not absolutely perfect.

  7. To print an Iron-on Transfer you must use a printer and software that supports ‘mirror images.’ Handling a ‘mirror image’ is difficult for most people as it requires upside-down placement in order to be properly ironed on. It is labor-intensive and usually requires several attempts to get it right!

  8. Fabrics become wrinkled after the first wash after using and Iron-on transfer and do not lay flat thereafter.

  9. …And, most importantly, the color quality and gamut of an iron-on is much less vivid than the same image created with Color Plus® Fabrics!
